Senior Researcher – Pangea Biomed

Job description Pangea Therapeutics is transforming precision oncology through a powerful computational platform that makes sense of exome-wide genetic interactions. Using this approach, Pangea has developed accurate biomarkers that predict response and resistance to targeted therapies based on individual multi-omic data. Pangea is working with leading cancer centers, pharma, and biotech companies to improve clinical outcomes and develop the next generation of biomarker-guided therapies. We are currently expanding and have several openings in our Tel Aviv-based R&D team. As a researcher in Pangea you will: - Develop core algorithms that underlie the company’s activity - Build models with direct application to patients based on diverse omics datasets - Create tools that streamline the research process - Present your results to collaborators and other members of the team, and engage in brainstorming sessions - Follow the literature and keep up with the state of the art in transcriptomics, therapeutic response prediction, single-cell data analysis, and other hot topics - Collaborate with the world’s leading cancer data scientists, medical oncologists, and oncopathologists Required skills and background: - MSc./Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Machine Learning or Immuno-oncology - Strong statistical background with hands-on experience in analysis of NGS data, emphasizing RNA-seq, from normalization of read counts to downstream analysis such as differential expression and gene set enrichment. - Strong background in machine learning, including hands-on experience in developing and evaluating supervised and unsupervised predictive models and/or strong background in immuno-oncology. - Experience in python development.
